HENCH Goes Vegas Baby!
Well, Mattman was on his way to the Steril Aire convention, and I talked Seadog and FastEddy into going, so Dad and I packed our golf clubs and headed to Vegas. We wanted to check out the new Wynn's Las Vegas hotel, and of course play some golf, eat and drink, and Wynn some money.

T. Henchy and I get comfortable in the giant two bedroom, three bath suite our buddy Steve Wynn comped us at his new Wynn's Las Vegas. Many thanks to our casino host Liz Miszlay for making our stay convenient and comfortable beyond mere mortal standards.

You can see the dining nook and spacious living room from this angle. To the left is the entrance, powder room and massage room.

Hench's bedroom. Very nicely appointed. There were four separate airco units in the suite, each with their own digital thermostat for complete comfort.

A flat screen TV for late night ESPN scores before passing out.

You can see the great view of the Strip here, and you can watch the Treasure Island Pirate show from your room.

This huge bathroom is bigger than my bedroom at home. Check out the flat screen LCD TV so I can watch the Dodgers lose while I'm shaving. With the Dodgers' season, it's a darn good thing I'm using an electric razor.

The rainwater shower has plenty of water pressure.

I used the Jacuzzi tub every morning to get loose for golf. Those old Hench muscles, bones and joints need it.

"Mr Henchy, it's the President on line two." - "I'll take it in my office."

Now here is the most important part of the suite, the BAR! We thoroughly tested it, and it passed with flying colors except for needing a big trash can under the sink for all of the empty bottles we had.

No, I didn't have my masseuse with me, so I could not take advantage of the massage room.

Here's Matt and Dad in front of Gaetano's new restaurant in Henderson. The food was excellent, the wines superb, the service exceptional, and the camaraderie true.

Here's Ed Call, T. Henchy, Matt Briley and Chris Seaman enjoying the evening. Why does Eddy look so happy? He must have a premonition about his fortunes at the casino.

Our host Gaetano Palmeri, was nice enough to come in on his day off to see some old friends. Thanks again to Gaetano, Nicholas, Gaetano's Ristorante, 10271 South Eastern Ave 702-361-1661.

Paiute Golf Resort. High desert golf at its best. Lush fairways and rough, with smooth greens, and lots of desert sand and cactus to catch any errant shots.

Matt and Terry get ready to tee off on the Snow Mountain course. T. Henchy had a fabulous round, including a 43 going out. Hench had to make a six footer on 18 just so the old man didn't smoke him.

Here's Matt with Valerie and Bob, our playing partners for our second day at Piute. Valerie can really hit the ball, chipped in for birdie, and gave Bob a real game from the Men's tees! They seemed a little shocked at the amount of money Matt and I bet on our game, and when I asked Bob what they played for, he responded: "Sex slave for the night." OVERSHARING!

Yep, I beat Matt up two out of three days at Piute, and can't wait to get his @$$ back to Woodland Hills. Of course, he can't wait to get me back to the Big Island, where he cleans my clock.
Well, I had a great time, enjoyed some of the best food on the entire planet, and didn't lose too much money. As Mattman says: "The only one who Wynn's is Steve!"
